About Professor Beverly Army Williams
I have a passionate belief that writing is not just a solitary endeavor. To write successfully, we must write with an audience and purpose in mind.
Some of my favorite texts are “Snake” by D.H. Lawrence; Jonathan Safran Foer’s novel Everything is Illuminated; and the Kenneth Branagh film version of Hamlet. I am a fan of Alejandro Escovedo, Jill Solbule, and Dan Bern, to name just a few musicians. When I’m not teaching, writing, or reading, I like to hike (or cross country ski if there is snow) with my husband and three dogs. I also enjoy riding my bike, knitting, and designing for fiber arts.
I hope you find our class blog a valuable resource. Feel free to email me if you have suggestions or questions.
Hello there,
Was doing some research online and came across your blog site. I teach writing at the University of Scranton in Pennsylvania and, likewise, use wordpress for my composition courses. I post assignments and have students respond on their own blogs and comment on classmates’ blogs. For some time now, I have been trying to set up an engaging discussion with other classes on social issues, having students comment on other student’s ideas outside of our school.
I’d love to hear your thoughts on the integration of WordPress into your classroom and if you feel that a conversation could be started between our students. I look forward to hearing your thoughts.
Here’s the link to my site. I really like yours, so any feedback will be greatly appreciated.
